Data visualization of company registration

All local limited companies (or non-Hong Kong companies which were incorporated outside Hong Kong and have established a place of business in Hong Kong) must first be registered with the Companies Registry. We take open data released by the Registry and transform it into usable forms. Our goal is to make it easy for you to find information and gain insights out of them.

所有本地有限公司或在香港以外地方成立為法團並在香港設立營業地點的非香港公司必須首先在公司註冊處註冊。公司註冊處每星期會通過特區政府的公共資料網站，發布新成立及已更改名稱的公司名單。我們不斷收集和整理這些數據，然後使用各種的運算，希望從中提供一些有用的資訊。

Newly-registered Local Companies

The Registry provides a weekly list of newly-registered companies via data.gov.hk (the public sector information portal of the Government). We take the list regularly and provide you with this Companies Search Tool; over here you can easily find all the local companies registered since 2017-01-01.

Here you can study recent trends of company incorporation in Hong Kong. The data is updated weekly.

Company Registration Statistics

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Annual Review of Company Registration

At the end of each year, we will compile a review of company registration activities throughout the whole year. Annual Review 2017 includes various statistics about company incorporation and dissolution, and some interesting phenomenon in naming companies.

Sources of Information

The Companies Registry, that administers and enforces most parts of the Companies Ordinance, provides many datasets, including weekly list of newly registered companies, via DATA.GOV.HK (the public sector information portal of the HKSAR Government).

Hong Kong Annual Digest of Statistics provides detailed annual statistical series on various aspects of the social and economic developments of Hong Kong. It includes various statistics about companies in Hong Kong.
